Who should teach kindergartners to identify and correctly label the more private parts of their bodies? Who should teach first graders about love? The state of Montana believes its schools should do it. We believe it is the responsibility and right of parents to do it or to thoughtfully choose who will.
Growing numbers of moms and dads are becoming frustrated with the way government feels it has the right to do what it wants when it wants with their children.
We want something better for children: childhoods full of not only excellence in education but the nurture of families rearing them to be whole and healthy people. That is not a function the state can fulfill, it’s not something that can be standardized into a one size fits all curriculum.
When parents finally have real choices, they will be able to ensure their children a good and healthy education that reinforces what is important to their family.
