Good news for children in Mississippi -- more parents than ever are taking charge of their offsprings' education.
This is also good news for all other families in Mississippi. As more parents lead the way by choosing independence and showing how it can be done, ideas and opportunities multiply for everyone.
Dawn Bynum and Janine Mangum cite their reasons for choosing to educate their own children: better academics, better socialization, the freedom to pursue individual interests, and closer families.
"...there is a recurring theme among those home-schoolers, all of whom attended public schools growing up: They want more of a say in the education and development of their children."
This is one of the faces of hope and the future. We want to see all parents eventually this motivated and empowered.
